[4D NEWS] Kim Hyun Joong bought a schoolgirl costume

During a recent recording of KBS2’s “Happy Together,” Kim Hyun Joong surprised everyone by confessing that he bought a schoolgirl costume in the past. He stated, “When SS501 first went to Japan, we came across a cosplay store.” Cosplay is short for “costume play,” and participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character. In Japan, these characters are often drawn from popular mangas.
Kim Hyun Joong said, “Heo Young Saeng bought a Chinese dress-like outfit from the store. So I went to the same place and purchased the schoolgirl costume.” When asked whether he wore it, he answered, “I have it displayed.” He emphasized, “There were other various costumes at the cosplay store, like police uniforms. I merely bought the schoolgirl uniform because it looked cool.”
Heo Young Saeng added, “We purchased the costumes because they were pretty, nothing else. However, people misunderstood and thought we were going to give it to our girlfriends.” This episode of “Happy Together” will be aired tonight, June 23^rd, at 11:15PM KST.
